The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is an excellent choice if you are seeking a robot vacuum and mop that is middle-of-the-road. It has a great mopping capability, but it lacks some of the advanced features that are found in its more expensive sibling.

During testing it was able to remove pet hair and dry oats from medium-pile carpets. It doesn't use LIDAR, however, as cheaper models do to locate your home.

iRobot Roomba s9+

The iRobot Roomba S9+ robot vacuum is one of the most highly-rated robots. It is loaded with features and impressive cleaning power, including an area for dirt that is integrated into the charging base. This robot can learn your cleaning habits, and recommend automatic schedules to provide you with the ultimate hands-free cleaning experience.

It's easy to set up thanks to the iRobot Home app that walks you through the procedure. Once the system is set up, you can start automated cleaning with a single button press. You can choose an overall clean that emphasizes cleaning up larger debris like cereal and rice or go for two thorough maps of your space to ensure that your entire home has a clean and tidy appearance.

This robot vacuum performs well on both floors with no carpet and carpets with low pile. It can pick up pet hair and sucks big objects up. It doesn't lose its suction as fast as some other robot vacuums. It does have a hard time with high-pile or plush carpet, but iRobot claims it will improve with future models.

The S9+ features a new design from iRobot that focuses on improving edge and corner cleaning. It's the first Roomba that uses flat-fronted D-shaped designs. The company hopes this will allow it to be able to hug walls and furniture. It's a step up from the hockey puck-shaped robovacs that are standard however we found it to be just marginally superior to circular models.

iRobot claims that the S9+ also comes with a superior filtration system, which prevents micro-sized particles and allergens from circulating throughout your home. We think it's a nice statement but not enough to justify a premium price.

Its intelligent navigation system makes use of sensors to keep track of the arrangement of your home and vSLAM to map the interior of your home. It then cleans your entire house efficiently by avoiding obstacles like stairs and other obstacles. The iRobot Home app lets you manage the robot and plan cleaning times, as well as create virtual boundary markers, so that it is aware of areas that require extra attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

What makes the Q Revo apart is that it's designed to operate almost completely on its own, with no need for human intervention. The dock of the robo-vac has multiple functions and will automatically move trash into a hidden bin. It also washes and dries, as well as refills the clean water tank. The app is good at notifying you when something needs attention, such as the water tank being empty or a scheduled vacuuming session having been canceled because of a full dust bin.

You can also combine or create rooms to personalize the way Q Revo handles your home. That's a handy feature for those who have multiple areas of your home with different flooring materials or if there's items that need to be cleared out frequently, like clothes, toys and books. The robo-vac was also one of the top performers in my tests and was able to remove debris from both carpets as well as hardwood floors in the first go. It is able to even vacuum up wet spills but I would suggest drying them with a cloth before sending the robot in.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni is a premium robot mop and vacuum combo that comes with all the features you could wish for. Like the iRobot Roomba S9+, it is a top-quality vacuum with a powerful suction that cleans carpets and hard floors, and the mop's rotating design that can scrub tough stains. It also comes with a self-cleaning station that automatically cleans and empty mop pads to keep them fresh and ready for reuse. It also comes with a sensor that recognizes obstacles better and prevents it from falling on furniture or other objects.

The biggest difference over the ECOVACS Deebot X1 is that this model has a sleeker, more modern design due to Danish firm Jacob Jensen Design (best known for its Bang & Olufsen products). The robot is still big. It is more than two feet in height and depth and weighs nearly four pounds. However, the robot and its base are smaller than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot J7.

This version is more efficient than the X1 because it charges more quickly and can clean up 1,500 square feet in a single charge. It also has a larger and more durable dustbin that can hold more debris. This makes it easier to empty.

The X2 Omni also has a more natural voice assistant as well as an app that is functional even when you're not at home. It also comes with more mopping options and a smart routing feature that allows you to clean certain rooms or areas of your home instead of just following a specific route.

The Omni X2 Omni is the most effective mopping performance of any robot we've tested thanks to its mop pads rotating to clean tough stains away and a motor that generates plenty of downward pressure. Its vacuuming performance is outstanding as well, and it boosts suction when it detects carpet to ensure it does the job well. It is equipped with a large, rechargeable battery that can last up to seven days. The mopping feature of the robot is also extremely effective.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra is a top-quality mop and robot vacuum that comes with a variety of convenience features that you do not often find on robots of this price range. It can build detailed floor maps, detect different types of flooring and is among the few robots that automatically wash and dry its mop pads. Although these features are nice to have however, they also push the L10s Ultra into the category of luxury which could make it a little more expensive than some homeowners need.

Created to look like a contemporary floor cleaner, the L10s Ultra is a tall and slim machine with an elegant white finish that's highlighted by silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine is adorned with a large bumper that protects the furniture and vacuum cleaner when you are moving around your home. In the pane in the front is additional navigation technology in the form of sensors that aid the L10s Ultra maneuver tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top of the screen, you'll find one button that basically acts as an on/off switch. By pressing this button, you can activate the vacuum, and clicking it again will shut off the vacuum and send it back to its base station. The central control panel includes the circular menu which allows you to select cleaning modes, schedules, and preferences. The left and right buttons open the settings of the app where you can customize how the L10s Ultra interacts with your home.

Similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+ and Roborock Q Revo, the L10s Ultra uses a combination of LIDAR and camera-based navigation technologies to help you map out your home. This helps the robot mop and vacuum efficiently without getting stuck. The LIDAR helps the robot vacuum avoid obstacles and identify them and avoid them, which is a great feature for households with pets or young children.

The L10s Ultra is an extremely powerful vacuum cleaner that removes 98.4 percent of the debris we test on hardwood floors and getting rid of all but the most stubborn juice stains. Its mops also do a great cleaning robots job and remove 98.4 percent of the debris from our carpet, tile and wood tests. It wasn't as effective at removing sand from the hard floor or quaker oats from the carpet.
